A Whole Cafe At Her Disposal!

Right here at the Mindcafe@ Purvis Street, Joanne had booked the entire café to celebrate her 21st birthday. And of course, suiting deed to the occasion, we had prepared the place in readiness for her arrival! With a welcome party sign, balloons, ribbons, birthday banners and more, all our decorations were in place to give our guests a warm welcome. However, it wasn’t just any ordinary party, mind you, Joanne had shared with us her plans for a theme, and most, if not all of her guests came clad in green! We weren’t an exception of course, most of our birthday decorations had been set up in green too!

The party was scheduled to start off at 7pm, and as the birthday guests came in, our meticulously prepared buffet attracted many a hungry stare. Of course, no one was going to make a move till the birthday ‘queen’ said so, and we quickly served them baskets of our delectable tidbits to keep their appetite sated! Drinks of course, were free flow all the way and with a range of iced peach tea, sparkling mango (one of our signature drinks), coke, coffee and tea, everyone was spoilt for choice!

Now, the good thing about being at the MindCafe is you’ll never have nothing to do while waiting! And our guests got right down to the games as they awaited the arrival of the birthday VIP, some pulling out old favourites like Ugly Dolls, Snorta and Jungle Speed while others tried their hand at the new range of games available such as Crazy Bluff, Pink Elephants and Cash and Guns!

Not too long later, Joanne arrived and the party really got under way then! The mouth-watering food was unveiled at her request and immediately came under attack from all sides! Joanne was under attack too but for a totally different reason! Hugs, handshakes and well-wishes came from all quarters to congratulate her on her special day! Accompanying all the birthday greetings were of course the presents, packages big and small, helium-filled balloons and one rather large gift box in particular with an extremely interesting decoration! Mindful of our birthday girl’s busy schedule, our service crew worked extra hard to attend to her guests, making sure that everyone was having both food and fun!

As the party carried on, the time came for the main event: the cutting of the birthday cake! Joanne’s mum had brought it in earlier and boy, was it a whopper! One of the hugest cakes anyone had ever seen was trotted out and displayed in all its splendour! Candles prepared and lit, cake positioned and guests’ singing voices at the ready, a rousing birthday song filled the halls of the café as they serenaded the birthday girl!

Soon after the wishmaking and candle blowing, photos were taken of Joanne with her friends, and slices of the cake were served out to all the guests. It had been a great party full of fun, laughter, food and of course games.
